How do we print your custom items?

We offer a variety of printing methods to fit your individual needs with no minimums or setups on most items including:

  • Screen Printing
  • Heat Applied Premium Vinyl
  • Digital Heat Transfers
  • Direct To Garment (DTG)
  • Embroidery

As of the summer of 2021, we have discontinued the following;

  • Small volume screen printing (under 100 pieces)
  • Multi-color Heat Applied Premium Vinyl

While we do still offer economical Digital Heat Transfer for items like Memorial (R.I.P) Shirts  and more, in the future our goal is to provide the best quality printing methods at the most affordable price.

In the efforts to do away with the price by color Heat Applied Premium Vinyl & Screen Printing methods, and give more full color options with no minimums or setup costs we have transitioned over to primarily Direct To Garment Printing.

What is Direct To Garment?

DTG is a printing method that prints the ink directly to the garment, unlike other printing methods where ink is transfer onto the garment or layered on top of the garment.

Of all of the printing methods available, screen printing, iron on (heat applied) transfers, vinyl, sublimation, print, cut & sew, DTG ranks in the top 3 for durability and quality. Screen printing is by far the best printing method, but is not the best option for small runs. Typically screen printing has a setup up fee per color AND location that can range $25 - $30 per color/location.

If you are looking for printing option with less limitations, no minimums and no setup up fees, DTG is the way to go.

The price per shirt may seem a little more expensive up front, but when you take into account the setup fees and minimums associated with other printing methods, you actually come out better with a quality full color custom print.

To extend the durability of your DTG printed item, we high recommend following our care instructions.

Embroidery

Embroidery is a process of stitching your design on to textile/garment. At Heavenly Jewell's, we offer 3 types of embroidery, which varies from one product to the next.

Here's what you should know  . . .

When creating and submitting a design for embroidery to Heavenly Jewell's, you should follow the guidelines listed below.

  1. Design your graphics true-to-size, the graphics you upload must be true to size on the product end. See file guidelines in the product description for more information.
  2. Use solid shapes and colors only. Do not include photographic images, gradients, fade,  or blend effects. Elements like this cannot be embroidered.
  3. Use transparent backgrounds. Graphics should include transparent backgrounds. Elements outside the main design will be picked up and result in unwanted embroidery stitches on the end product.
  4. Outline your fonts, please convert all fonts to outline if you are not using a PNG format.
  5. Submit vector files  in PDF format. We highly recommend submitting your embroidery graphics as vector files (PDF). Raster graphics (PNG) can be used as well if the resolution of the graphic is at least 300 DPI.
  6. Stay within the maximum stitch count. There is a maximum limit of 15, 000 stitches.
  7. Remover file template guidelines if you download  and use our print file guideline templates, be sure  to delete them before saving, other wise they will be printed as part of the design.

There is a one time digitization fee per design and color combination of $6.99. If you are embroidering more than one location, please note this may change the one time digitization fee, as a separate file will need to be prepared for that placement.

Embroidery Types

See the individual product description for detailed specifics about each type of embroidery.

Flat Embroidery- a technique where stitches are embroidered flat on the shirt

3D Puff Embroidery- a technique where embroidery is raised with a foam insert under the stitching. It's used mostly for big shapes

Partial 3D Puff Embroidery - a technique where both flat embroidery and 3D puff are used in the same graphic.
